It’s the good news about the prescription that has been achieved legally for the Frequency Modulation Radio in Harmi. Thanks specially to Bikash ji and all who have taken the initiatives in that and are going under the processes to be done for the establishment there at us.Along with me all the Harmeli and Neighbors are hoping that there will be a FM Station soon in Harmi. There might be a lot of problems but many aren’t known about that only waiting for such good developments.
We hope it will happen soon……Good luck for Harmi..................

I read your feelings and the picture that you tried to portray of one's village. Really what the youths of Harmi have been doing is praiseworthy, no work gets done anywhere without somebody's efforts and dedication. The place where we grew up in rags and tatters has changed tremendously.Still a lot needs to be done in all areas of social and mental development.
I congratulate Bikas Dhakal for acting as our media person and posting up to date news about Harmi.

1 . Bikash Babu,
I want to congratulate you and your team who has played a significant role in bringing up this website in such a standard format covering news, articles, photographs and other developmental activities of our Harmi as well as Gorkha District as a whole. I am really impresssed with this marvelous initiation made by our junior brothers. I am having following remarks:
1. It would be nice to keep short term and long term development plans of Harmi VDC which had already been developed in the earlier days.
2. Let us invite some of the proposals from our collegues residing in different countries or in different places within the country for the development of Harmi in respect to economical, and social aspects.
3. It would be nice to include present status of 10 + 2 program conducted at Nawalpur school and future plan for the initiation of diploma program.
4. Some banks or finance company should be established at Harmi and it's vicinity. Is it possible to develop Harmi as model town having all the facilities of education, health and marketings.
5. Can we approach the JICA or KOICA or any other volunteer providing agencies who may acts as the resource person for the proposed developmental activities.
I will be glad to support the team and encourage them to continue it and sustain it.

2 . Bikash Bhai Namaste,
I am very glad to receive the actitvities cited in the website of our Harmi. I want to congratulate you for preparing the detail news as well as for the presentation of photographs. This is very important for the person like me who do not have much exposure in the village activities in the present days. Your mail was in my junk mail, however I could see it. You can send the mail in my gmail ishwaridhakal@gmail.com
Well, everything is fine in Chitwan. By the way I did not see in the news of Annual day program of Nawalpur school about the distribution of Rs. 12000 scholarship( Girdhari Memorial Scholarship) to the topper girl student of class 11. The fund was already handed over to the Head Sir, Mr Ram Pd. Adhikary one month before the Annual day program. I could not attend the ceremony because of my busy schedule in Chitwan. Would you please explore it and let me know whether the scholaship fund has received by the topper student or not ? I have also requested Hari dai to distribute by his hand when he was planning to go there.
Have a nice time

Dear Bikas
Thank you for your laborious work to provide information of and around Harmi. It is really good opportunity for those who are physicall away and because of your noble work they are able to get updated about the developments of their homeland.
Today I have again raised the issue of Vigyan Pra Vi again.
After a hectic discussion and energetic initiations the issue of”Vigyan Pra Vi “has gone to hibernation. I had thought that when the issue has been raised and appreciated by many, some energetic person will take a lead and start the process ahead. I saw that even Dr B K Sharma from US had offered some personal monetary input and had suggested to make a proposal for that purpose which he could submit to some foundations of Nepalese in US. I saw Rabi also expressed his inputs. Has anyone been engaged in preparing the proposal? In my opinion we should make Vigyan Pra Vi as project , not only a building, but to run it, sustain it and develop it further up to higher classes, other disciplines etc.. For that we need to start proper planning, exploring for the funds and implementation. There were many Harmiites and friends of Harmi who had expressed their willingness to provide their inputs to it. Unless proper planning and the preparedness of immediate stakeholders and beneficiaries to take the ownership, no project can be successful in long run. I hope our learned, enthusiastic and practical minded friends will again start to think and proceed further. I am always with them.

Dear All
This is a very good social service from the side of Bikas and his collegues. I congratulate them for this and wish the work which they have started be continued and expanded more.
In my opinion, if everyone of us will have the feeling of doing something for our land where we saw the first light in life, this land of ours will be well developed oneday in near future. I would like to initiate the thoughts on this. Here are some of my initialthinkings in this aspect based on my personal experiences and feelings:
When I am bit free from work or other social responsibilities, my childhood comes in front of me. A small boy in a distant rural village of Harmi in Gorkha district. The scene of children in ragged clothes playing in the dust and mud. A bit grown up, I see the people around, toiling for days and nights in the fields, carrying loads of commodities for themselves and others from far away Indian border Thori, but still having nothing to eat at their homes for more than half of the year. I remember the people deeply burdened with the traditionally backward feelings and innocence about the development. I notice the feelings of societal development, everywhere the presence of selfishness and leg-pullings. The poor people did not have idea of helping each other for the good of each other; one was against other and tried to have better life than the neighbors. The result was that very few relatively well to do families utilized that feeling of the poor and continued to exploit them.
Today when I see the development in the area, most of the people are living relatively better lives compared to that when I was a child. Road facility, electricity and telephones have reached to the people. Now the presence of schools and health posts shows that people live a better life. From outside it looks like a tremendous development has taken place. But when I compare the development with that of other countries, even with other communities of our own country, we are still lacking far behind. Still we lack the feeling of togetherness, development of the community and development of community benefit. We still lack the understanding that if we work for the upliftment of the society as a whole we will benefit more. We still cut the pipes of communal water supply, damage the public boundaries (parkhal) to make our own house or cowshed or something else, we destroy the community forest for our personal benefit. In the same way we still criticize the ones who want to do something for the good of society and at times blame them as if they are doing it for their personal benefits. These are very few examples, by doing what we are just hampering the development of our community. The root for all of these is our negative thinking about whatever is happening in the community. We have so many factors around us which provokes us to be negative such as the financial and political situation, distribution of resources, environment and population and so on. It is easy to become negative. The negative feelings of one person attacks the others, then it becomes difficult to maintain the balance in ones’ feelings of lightness and happiness because of their negative reactions and responses to everything, or it could be ones’ negative response towards others. So we must try to overcome all such negative thinkings about others, about the development and about the future. We have to learn to work for the betterment of our society which will at the end makes the lives of each of us a better one. This is just the initial thinking of a Harmiite who would love to see his Harmi a prosperous one in all aspects of life; be in material development, spiritual development and equality and equity in the society.
